Additional NRTC Consortium Members Receive RDOF Approval

Seven members of the NRTC Phase I RDOF Consortium are ready to be authorized for funding, the FCC announced yesterday (PDF). The seven are among 50 broadband providers listed in this funding wave, totaling more than $706 million bringing broadband service to about 400,000 locations in 26 states. These NRTC members join three others the FCC approved previously for awards to be distributed over a 10-year period.
The NRTC Consortium members appearing on the winners list include:
- Thumb Electric Cooperative will receive more than $22 million to support 11,357 locations over a 10-year period.
- All Points Northern Neck, which won nearly $12 million to support 7,670 locations.
- Altamaha Electric Membership Corporation was awarded more than $8.6 million to support 6,183 locations.
- New Hampshire Electric Cooperative will serve 7,361 locations with an award of more than $6.5 million.
- Ralls Technologies, part of Ralls County Electric cooperative, will serve 548 locations with support of nearly $1.3 million.
- Northeast Louisiana Power Cooperative’s subsidiary, Volt Broadband, will receive more than $1.2 million to cover 652 locations.
- Maquoketa Valley Electric Cooperative will receive $356,000 to deploy to 305 locations.
NRTC Funding Services will continue to monitor RDOF announcements. In addition, NRTC is tracking state and federal funding programs.
