Long-term Directors Step Down From NRTC Board

NRTC, during its annual meeting in Nashville, gave special recognition to three departing board members: Tim Mergen of Meeker Cooperative Light & Power Association in Minnesota; Bob Hance of Midwest Energy Cooperative in Michigan and George Kitchens, who recently retired from Joe Wheeler EMC in Alabama. Each received a commemorative vase marking the occasion, and NRTC is donating to each former board member’s favorite causes. In closing remarks, Hance said he believed NRTC currently is a greater value to its members than ever. Mergen said that broadband is the miracle of the modern day, just as electricity was a miracle to the people of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Kitchens was unable to attend the annual meeting.
