Randy Sukow
Corporate Communications Specialist
Member and Industry Relations
Randy Sukow has been a key part of NRTC’s communications team for over 24 years, sharing stories that matter to cooperative members. As the voice behind the NRTC blog, the annual report, and the monthly NRTConnects newsletter, Randy ensures NRTC’s mission and achievements are well-documented and engaging. He also crafts special articles and supports communications for NRTC’s board of directors elections.
Randy’s career in telecommunications journalism spans four decades, covering business, technology, and regulatory issues since 1984. Before joining NRTC in 2001, he reported on landmark events, such as the Gulf War, the Cable Act of 1992, and the early development of HDTV. His deep industry knowledge has made him an invaluable storyteller, especially when it comes to the intersection of telecommunications and electric utilities.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota Morris with a BA in English, Randy brings a love for language and detail to everything he writes. Outside of work, he’s a dedicated Washington Nationals fan, an early music enthusiast (think pre-1750), and a regular churchgoer. He also loves Italian cuisine, traveling through Europe, and unwinding with the humor of his favorite author, P.G. Wodehouse.
Whether he’s blogging about broadband or cheering on the Nats, Randy brings passion, precision, and a touch of wit to NRTC’s communications.
