Curtis Knobloch, president of NRTC Mobile Solutions will be on the panel for a session focused on bundled mobile services during NTCA’s upcoming RTIME 2025, Feb. 23-26 in San Antonio, TX. Also in San Antonio, NRTC will hold its annual meeting for telephone members.

The session titled “Implementing a Mobile Bundle in a Competitive Broadband Environment,” will follow the experiences of Jonathan West, CEO of Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative in Tennessee, who dealt with technical and marketing considerations while setting up bundled mobile phone services. NRTC Mobile Solutions offers mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) services, back office support, wholesale access to devices and other elements that could be part of a bundled plan.

A year ago, NRTC and NTCA established a Mobile Virtual Network Collaboration, a program to help rural NTCA telephone and internet members bundle mobile voice and data with their established services. The collaboration offers discounts and incentives, including credit activation on new accounts, mobile device financing, support for marketing campaigns and others.

The session is set for 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Later in the day, at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, NRTC will gavel its annual meeting to order. It will hold the meeting at the Lonestar Ballroom DEF on the second floor of the Grand Hyatt San Antonio.

The meeting will feature speeches by Board Chaiman Jimmy Todd of Nex‐Tech in Lenora, KS, and NRTC CEO Tim Bryan. In addition, NRTC will announce the results of online voting for one telephone-industry seat on the board of directors. As announced earlier, Thomas Preston, CEO of Duo County Telephone Cooperative in Kentucky, is the incumbent running unopposed.
