Broadband Funding & the Affordable Connectivity Program

As broadband funding mechanisms shift to the states, one common requirement of state broadband grant programs is to ensure that households can afford to purchase the connectivity they need. One option available to providers to satisfy this critical funding priority is to participate in the Federal Communications Commission’s $14.2 billion Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The ACP reimburses broadband providers directly for eligible discounts promoting affordability and adoption for qualifying consumers.
