Jason Champion is NRTC’s first Director of Member Experience, dedicated to ensuring that members have the best possible experience with NRTC’s services and solutions. Through member feedback surveys, onsite and virtual visits, and data-driven insights, Jason ensures that NRTC stays closely connected to its members’ needs. His strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and empathy enable him to bridge the gap between NRTC’s offerings and member expectations.

Since establishing the Voice of the Member (VoM) program, Jason has been instrumental in giving members a platform to be heard and driving improvements across the organization. He also leads the optimization and adoption of NRTC’s CRM platform (NetSuite), ensuring seamless interactions and efficient support. Jason’s unique perspective, gained from his seven years on the Managed Services sales team, gives him a deep understanding of both NRTC and its members.

Jason holds a Certified Customer Experience Specialist (CXS) designation from CX University and a Customer Loyalty Certification from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business. His passion for continuous improvement and member-centric solutions makes him an invaluable asset to NRTC and its mission of empowering rural utilities.

Outside of work, Jason is a youth mountain bike coach, a drummer, and an avid hiker. He’s also passionate about self-awareness and uses the Enneagram to help individuals and teams understand themselves and collaborate more effectively.
